WOW! I don't think I have ever seen a kitchen floor so dirty! Mom left without even attempting to help me clean it because she thought it was a lost cause. But good ol' Grandpa Jack gave me some pointers on how to clean it up shinny and new - elbow grease and S.O.S. pads, and boy do those do the trick! Sunday night after her kiddos were in bed, Ms. Terri trotted on over to the Allee home to, once again, help me with my new house :) She stopped off at CVS (or Walgreen's I cannot remember which one) and picked up a box of 10 S.O.S. pads, thinking that was enough - NOPE, we had to make a late night run to Hy-Vee for more S.O.S. pads :) Anyway, here is the progression of the cleaning:This is what the nasty floor looked like when we bought the house and started moving in and setting up shop - now you know why my mom just left us to fend for ourselves with it - ha!
Terri scrubbing away at the dirt and grim - she is such a good friend :)
Can you believe people actually lived like that!!! The floor is now half done, and that only took us 2 hours, 2 more to go!!!
S.O.S. - Our Saviour, we couldn't have done it without YOU!!!!
The finished product - 4, yep FOUR, hours later! Unbelieveable, right?!?!

Terri = Cinderella, hmmm...I could get used to that! Maybe not the cleaning part but definitely the living in the palace happily ever after part. Ha! Just wait until it's your turn to help me clean, your phone will be ringing!!! I guess there are some disadvantages to living so close. =P LOL!
